We had the privilege of working with one of our Senior Couture Ambassadors (SCA), Melissa Zarate of Harmony Science Academy, Class of 2014. Melissa was great to work with, however, there were times when she would get a little nervous for the first few shots but after we joked around and got her to loosen up, she got into the groove of things. A graduate of John Casablancas Modeling and Acting Career Centers, Melissa took direction really well and was a joy to work with.  Keep in mind, you don't have to be a model to take beautiful photos like these. Anyone can do it- its all about the experience and feeling good about yourself because "every girl is beautiful".

Congratulations, Melissa, on a job well done. If any of Melissa's classmates and friends would like to book their senior portraits with us, give a call! Your senior year is about to start so why not start off with amazing senior portraits from AfallaStudios!

Michael Greene, our go-to guy for amazing makeup, transformed our little Melissa into a beautiful butterfly. She also learned a few tricks on how to put on her makeup.

Makeup artist extraordinaire, Michael Greene, really pays attention to the details and made Melissa's eyes jump off the page. Michael if one of the best in the industry and we're so honored to have him as part of our team.

We were lucky enough to photograph Melissa in front of this beautiful mural created by Shepard Fairey. The gate was wide open and we jumped at the opportunity  to utilize this beautiful work of art.

Michael showed us this out-of-this-world freight elevator that is in his studio building. We took advantage of this space and took some amazing photos of Melissa.

Melissa in front of a wooden freight door. This was one of our first few shots and she nailed every one of them.
